Day 1. Nairobi.
Jambo! Welcome to Kenya! You’ll arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where you will be met at arrivals by a King Salama Safaris representative. We’ll transfer you by private vehicle to your overnight accommodations in Nairobi.

Day 2. Ol Pejeta Conservancy.
After breakfast, we will leave Nairobi for Ol Pejeta Conservancy (a 3.5-hour drive). Ol Pejeta Conservancy is home to a high density of wildlife and endangered species including black rhinos, the last two northern white rhinos, and rescued chimpanzees.
We’ll arrive in time to enjoy lunch before setting out on our first game drive. Ol Pejeta Conservancy is home to the ‘Big 5’, reticulated giraffes, baboons, hippos, impalas, hyenas, and over 500 species of birds.
You’ll return to your accommodations for a delicious dinner followed by a relaxing evening enjoying drinks around the campfire.

Day 3. Ol Pejeta Conservancy.
Wildlife in the Conservancy is most active during the morning hours. You’ll wake up early for another exciting game drive. Following the drive, you’ll return to the camp for breakfast. Spend the rest of the morning relaxing at camp or have the option to visit Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary.
The Sanctuary was established with an agreement between the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, the Kenya Wildlife Service, and the Jane Goodall Institute and aims to provide care for orphaned and abused chimpanzees from West and Central Africa.
In the afternoon we will visit the rhino sanctuary and get up-close with the last two remaining northern white rhinos on the planet. you will learn all about the conservation efforts that make Ol Pejeta a role model for conservation, followed by an afternoon game drive, we will be on the outlook for predators that are getting ready to hunt.

Day 4. Kalama Conservancy, Samburu.
In the morning, we’ll leave Ol Pejeta Conservancy for Samburu (about 3.5 hours drive). Our next stop is the Kalama Conservancy. The Kalama Conservancy which opened in 2004 and borders Samburu National Reserve serves as a vital wildlife corridor for animals between the Samburu and Marsabit areas. The 384-square-kilometer wildlife conservancy is home to Grevy’s zebras, elephants, and reticulated giraffes.
Saruni Camp is where you will spend the night. The Camp has six luxury eco-chic villas and is the only camp in the Conservancy, so you’ll pretty much have the place to yourself. After you get settled in at Saruni Camp, enjoy lunch and spend the afternoon relaxing. The property has two pools, a photography hide, and a communal area all with stunning panoramic views of the conservancy.
You’ll finish the day with a game drive in search of the magnificent ‘Samuru 5’ which can only be found in this part of Kenya and includes the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, beisa oryx, gerenuk, and Somali ostrich.only

Day 5. Full-Day Game Drive In Samburu National Reserve.
After an early breakfast, you’ll head out for a full-day game drive in Samburu National Reserve. Your guide will share information about the Reserve’s wildlife as you seek out more of the unique northern Kenyan wildlife. With some luck, you may even be able to spot the elusive leopards and lions along the way.
Later in the afternoon, we will visit a village that is home to the Samburu tribe. Unlike other commercialized areas of Kenya, the village will allow you to experience the authentic and vibrant culture of the Samburu people.
We return to camp in time to capture a true African sunset. A perfect way to end an adventurous day.
Fun Fact – The Samburu are semi-nomadic and are one of the most famous and interesting tribes in Kenya. They have a strong connection with their traditions and culture and are closely related to the Maasai. Maa, the native language of the Samburu, is spoken by nearly a million people in Kenya and Tanzania.

Day 6. Kalama Conservancy, Samburu.
You’ll start your day with an early morning bush walk through Kalama Conservancy. Your Samburu guide will teach you about the area’s fauna and flora and how they are used by the tribe. You’ll return to the camp for breakfast before heading off to the Reteti Elephant Sanctuary (2.5 hours drive).
The Reteti Elephant Sanctuary is owned and run by the Samburu community. The Sanctuary rescues orphaned and abandoned elephant calves with the goal of releasing them back into the wild herds. Visiting the Sanctuary is not only an incredible experience but one of the best ways to support the preservation of wildlife in the area as well as the local community dedicated to protecting them. Guests get an exclusive tour of the facility and the opportunity to observe the calves feeding and playtime. On the return trip to camp, you will stop for a delicious picnic lunch.
When you return to camp, you’ll spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing. After sunset, your guide will take you on a night time game drive in search of nocturnal wildlife. Finish the day with a delicious dinner while taking in the sounds of the bush.

Day 7. Naboisho Conservancy, Maasai Mara.
After breakfast, we leave Samburu and fly to Naboisho Conservancy. Naboisho is a 200-square-kilometer Maasai community pasture and wildlife conservation area that borders the Maasai Mara National Reserve.
You will be picked up from the airstrip by your Maasai guide and driven to your next accommodation at Naboisho Camp.
Naboisho Camp is designed to be as open as possible giving guests the full advantage of the Mara surroundings. The sights and sounds of the bush will be your entertainment as you spot zebra and impala from the thatched-roof main lodge, dining area, or swimming pool. You will arrive just in time for lunch and be greeted by the warm and hospitable staff.
After an afternoon of relaxation, you’ll embark on an afternoon game drive with our experienced Maasai guides. The Naboisho Conservancy is known for its high density of lions and top African predators. Unlike the national reserves, Naboisho has strict limits on the number of visitors and allows guides to drive off-road to check out the wildlife from a closer distance.

Day 8. Naboisho Conservancy, Maasai Mara.
Early morning game drive, the wildlife is abundant and diverse, both predators and prey, you’ll also have the chance to see the Maasai giraffe and learn about the differences between the giraffe species that you saw in Samburu. After lunch and a relaxing break back at camp, you’ll head to a different part of the Conservancy in search of elephants and the elusive leopard.

Day 9. Naboisho Conservancy, Maasai Mara.
Full day game drive in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, the Reserve is a world-famous safari destination with optimal viewing, endless savannas, and diverse wildlife. The Reserve is home to the ‘Big 5’, all of the top African predators, and the Great Wildebeest Migration. This place is especially wonderful for bird enthusiasts who will have the opportunity to see many of the 450 species of birds that live in the Reserve.
After dinner, you’ll spend the rest of the evening relaxing around the campfire.
Fun Fact – The Great Wildebeest Migration is the largest mammal migration in the world. The Migration is a massive herd made up of 2 million wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle and passes through the Maasai Mara Reserve from July to October each year. (

Day 10. Leave for Nairobi
After breakfast, we bid farewell and travel by light aircraft back to Nairobi. You’ll land at Wilson Airport and be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (1-hour drive) or an optional day room at a hotel until the time of your return flight home.
