Over eight magical days, you will be transported from the buzzing metropolis of Nairobi to the untamed wilderness of the Samburu Game Reserve, from the vast plains of the Maasai Mara to the serene beauty of the Lumo Community & Wildlife Conservancy.
Your adventure begins amidst the urban energy of Nairobi before swiftly transitioning into the unspoiled wilds of Samburu. Here, you will spend two unforgettable days at the Soroi Larsens Camp, where the distinctive wildlife and unique flora of the Samburu Game Reserve will be your companions.

The journey continues in the Maasai Mara, a legendary reserve that will be your home for the next two nights. You’ll experience the marvels of the Mara up close to the luxurious Soroi Luxury Migration Camp, joining the rhythm of life in one of Africa’s most extraordinary ecosystems.

Finally, the Soroi Lions Bluff Lodge in the Lumo Wildlife Conservancy will be your sanctuary for the concluding two nights of your safari. With a blend of day and night game drives, this tranquil wilderness offers a spectacular finale to your Kenyan adventure.

Day 1. Nairobi

 

Welcome to Nairobi, the vibrant heart of Kenya! You’ll be warmly greeted by our representative at the airport and transferred to the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel. Unwind, freshen up, and acclimatize as you prepare for the adventure that awaits.

Day 2.  Samburu National Reserve

Your journey into the wild begins today. After breakfast, you’ll take a scheduled light aircraft transfer from Nairobi Wilson Airport to Samburu Game Reserve. Upon landing, you’ll be whisked away to the Soroi Larsens Camp, your home amidst the wilderness for the next two days. Settle in, enjoy the camp’s amenities, and get ready to explore the Samburu Game Reserve.

Samburu National Reserve

Set on the banks of the Ewaso Ng’iro River and neighbouring the Buffalo Springs National Park, Samburu National Reserve is characterised by a spectacular landscape of rugged hills, undulating plains and riverine forests. The park is home to abundant wildlife including a variety of rare species such as the reticulated giraffe, the long-necked gerenuk, Somali ostrich, Grevy’s Zebra, and Beisa Oryx. Visitors can also enjoy spotting over 900 elephants, a variety of predators, and over 450 bird species. The ancient culture of the Samburu people is still alive here, and it is possible to see two unique customs firsthand. In the first, watch as herds of cattle respond to each man’s individual voice as they call. In the second, see the tribesmen perform incredible dances that go back hundreds of years.

Day 3. Samburu National Reserve

Immerse yourself in the stunning landscapes of the Samburu Game Reserve. Spend your day exploring the park with experienced guides and spotting a variety of wildlife on morning and afternoon game drives. In the evening, relish a sundowner as the sun sets, painting the sky in vibrant hues.

Day 4. Maasai Mara National Reserve

After a delightful breakfast, you’ll fly by scheduled light aircraft transfer from Samburu Game Reserve to the world-renowned Masai Mara Game Reserve. Upon arrival, our camp Manager will welcome you at the Soroi Luxury Migration Camp, your base for the next two days. Enjoy the camp’s luxurious amenities and prepare to delve into the wonders of the Mara.

Maasai Mara National Reserve

The Masai Mara together with Tanzania’s Serengeti form Africa’s most famous wildlife park, the Masai Mara National Reserve. The image of acacia trees dotting endless grass plains epitomises Africa for many, then add a Maasai warrior and some cattle to the picture and the conversation need go no further. The undeniable highlight of the Masai Mara National Reserve is undoubtedly the annual wildebeest migration traversing the vast plains of the Serengeti and the Masai Mara. It is known as the largest mass movement of land mammals on the planet – with more than a million animals following the rains. Large prides of lions, herds of elephants, as well as giraffes, gazelles, and eland can also be spotted in the reserve. Aside from horse riding safaris and traditional vehicle safaris, hot-air ballooning over the Mara plains has become almost essential.

Day 5. Maasai Mara National Reserve

Experience a full day of exploration in the Maasai Mara, one of Africa’s premier wildlife reserves. Embark on two extended game drives in custom safari-built 4×4 camp vehicles, seeking out the Big Five and experiencing the natural beauty of the Mara. All our guides are certified by the Kenya Professional Guides Association (Gold, Silver, or Bronze rated) and are very knowledgeable about the flora & fauna of the Mara.

 

Enjoy afternoon tea/coffee with cookies/cake, and unwind by the campfire in the evening before dinner.

Day 6. Lumo community wildlife sanctuary

After breakfast, you’ll transfer a scheduled light aircraft from the Maasai Mara Game Reserve to the tranquil Lumo Wildlife Conservancy. The Soroi Lions Bluff Lodge will be your home for the next two days, offering stunning views of the conservancy and luxurious accommodations.

Lumo Community Wildlife Sanctuary

Located in the Taita-Taveta County in Kenya, the Lumo Community Wildlife Sanctuary stretches over 600 square kilometers, adjacent to the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary and the Tsavo West National Park. This community-run sanctuary provides ecotourism services to protect the wildlife of the Tsavo Region and is known for its big cat and elephant populations. Visitors will also be able to spot cape buffalo, lion, giraffe, zebra, hartebeest, elephant, leopard, impala, waterbuck, Thomson’s gazelle, lesser kudu, dik-dik, and a variety of birdlife.

Day 7. Lumo community wildlife sanctuary

Savor a full day in the Lumo Community & Wildlife Conservancy. Embark on daily game drives, enjoying the diverse wildlife and beautiful landscapes. Take advantage of the unique experience of a night game drive. At the lodge, indulge in a refreshing 30-minute neck & back massage, a perfect way to unwind after a day of adventure.

Day 8.

 

After a hearty breakfast on your final day, you’ll fly by scheduled light aircraft transfer back to Nairobi Wilson Airport from the Lumo Wildlife Conservancy. As you prepare for your journey home, reflect on the incredible experiences and unforgettable memories you’ve made.
