Welcome to Malawi! On arrival at Chileka International Airport you will be met by a Crafted Africa guide who will welcome and transfer you to Mkulumadzi situated right within Majete Wildlife Reserve, one of the outstanding success stories of African conservation. You will spend three nights of your tour here.

Mkulumadzi Lodge Overview
Surrounded by 7,000 hectares of private concession, Mkulumadzi enjoys an idyllic location at the confluence of two rivers shaded by giant leadwood trees. It is the perfect combination of splendid isolation and first-class facilities.
The lodge has eight superb chalets, each with spacious living quarters and a private viewing deck. Guests can swim in the pool, dine under the stars, game drives and walking safaris, and even sleep under the stars on the star deck.

Majete is a huge conservation success through African Parks
Today you will rise and go on your last activity in Majete Wildlife Reserve before being jetted off to the stunning Satemwa Tea Estates. You will be transferred to the wonderful home, Huntingdon House for the next two nights. Go for guided walks around the estates, play croquet on the lawn, take a tour of the coffee factory and do some tea tasting. Don’t forget to take a trip up to the picnic spot for sundowners for a birds eye view of the estate and far beyond. You can even take a day trip to Mount Mulanje and do some hiking before heading back to the house to enjoy a home cooked meal and a tea/coffee related cocktail by the fire in the drawing room.
Huntingdon House Overview
Built in 1935 this was the original house of Maclean Kay the founder of Satemwa Tea Estates. It is now an exclusive lodge with five unique rooms. Care was taken to retain the unique character and history of the property while ensuring it satisfies the demands of even the most discerning traveler.
Huntingdon House and Chawani bungalow are on Satemwa; a working tea and coffee estate managed by the family.
Today you will be transferred to the Shire River, where you will be met by the Kuthengo Camp staff and transferred via boat to your home for the next four nights. You will settle into your room on arrival and rest. That afternoon you will be taken on your first game drive to explore the wildlife of Liwonde National Park. After your activity, you will be brought back to the camp in time to freshen up before enjoying an al fresco dinner and campfire stories. Up bright and early the next morning for your morning activity, choose from game drives, walking safaris or boating safaris! After your activity, hop in the swimming pool or do some birding on your private deck before lunch. After lunch, why not have a siesta or read a book by the pool before your evening activity. Game drive, dinner and a good nights’ sleep lay ahead.
Kuthengo Camp Overview
Located on a large open plain stretching towards the Shire River in Liwonde National Park, you will find Kuthengo Camp nestled among Fever trees and Baobabs. With resident fish eagles nesting in these Baobabs, guests will be woken to ‘Africa’s voice’ calling as they rise in this wild and natural paradise.

Situated on the west side of the Nankumba Peninsula on the Southern end of Lake Malawi, guests can find Pumulani subtly nestled in the lush hills amongst the trees and craggy outcrops.

Experiences and activities include limited snorkeling, fishing, sailing, nature walks, kayaking, sunset cruises on a dhow, mountain bike tours, and village tours. Motorized watersports such as diving, waterskiing, fun tubing, and snorkeling excursions, are available at an additional cost.
Pumulani Lodge
Pumulani is a piece of lake paradise. The glamorous rooms are like something out of a James Bond film equipped with sliding doors, not to mention they are built on the side of a hill to give you the most spectacular views in the bay. Each room is bigger than a New York apartment featuring massive en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers and bathtub.
After a hearty breakfast, you will wave goodbye to Malawi for now. You will be transferred to Lilongwe International Airport for your flight home.
