Karoline Hood has always been fascinated with African wildlife as a child she grew up watching her hero Sir David Attenborough. As she got older she got increasingly concerned with how wildlife was being pushed towards extinction, how habitate was being destroyed and what future are we leaving for the future generations. She has spent more than a decade traveling across Africa and volunteering in wildlife conservation. This great love for Africa, its people, and wildlife extends into her Safaris through which she intends to introduce the beautiful continent of Africa to her guests. Through King Salama Safaris, she provides a one-of-a-kind cultural and wildlife experience that can be enjoyed in absolutely stunning African surroundings.
As well as being a woman and minority-owned business, Karoline maintains a blog called Warriors of Malama (Malama is a Hawaiian word, meaning, to take care of, care for, protect, and preserve). She has traveled the world and interviewed ordinary people from all walks of life who are all united in their endeavor – to protect wildlife and their natural habitats.
