Day 1.
Arrival in Nairobi.
Jambo and welcome to Kenya! Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by King Salama Safaris representative who will transfer you by private vehicle to your overnight hotel in Nairobi for a good night’s rest.
Day 2. Ol Pejeta conservancy.
After breakfast, we will leave Nairobi for Ol Pejeta Conservancy (a 3.5-hour drive).
Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a 90,000-acre private fenced conservancy situated between the Aberdare Mountains and Mount Kenya. The Conservancy offers excellent wildlife-viewings with a high density of wildlife, including predators, all of the Big Five are present. Its highlights include the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, a population of southern white rhinos, and the opportunity to get up close to the last two northern white rhinos left in the world and a Chimpanzee Sanctuary, housing orphaned and abandoned chimpanzees.
We’ll arrive in time to enjoy lunch and relax, before setting out on an afternoon game drive, just when the predators are getting more active.
You’ll return to your accommodations for a delicious dinner followed by a relaxing evening.
Fun Fact – The term ‘Big 5’ was coined in the 1800s and refers to the African elephant, Cape buffalo, African lion, leopard, and rhinoceros. These five animals were identified as the most dangerous creatures to hunt on foot in Africa
Day 3. Ol Pejeta conservancy.
Wildlife in the Conservancy is most active during the morning hours. You’ll wake up early for another exciting game drive. Following the drive, you’ll return to the camp for breakfast. Spend the rest of the morning relaxing at at the pool, or your private deck that has views of the waterhole.
Option to visit Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. The Sanctuary was established with an agreement between the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, the Kenya Wildlife Service, and the Jane Goodall Institute and aims to provide care for orphaned and abused chimpanzees from West and Central Africa.
In the afternoon we will visit the rhino sanctuary and get up-close with the last two remaining northern white rhinos on the planet. you will learn all about the conservation efforts that make Ol Pejeta a role model for conservation, followed by an afternoon game drive, we will be on the outlook for predators that are getting ready to hunt.

Day 4. Samburu Game Reserve.
Breakfast and we depart from Ol Pejeta Conservancy for the Samburu National Reserve. (About a 3.5-hour drive)
Samburu National Reserve is located in Northern Kenya and is a premier game reserve situated on the banks of the Ewaso Ng’iro river. It is a unique wildlife conservation haven famous for an abundance of rare species known as the Samburu Special five. Comprising of the reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, Beisa oryx, and the Grevy’s zebra.
Samburu National Reserve boasts over 900 elephants and is home to big cats – lions, leopards, and cheetahs. the elusive leopard, one of the few places wild dogs can be spotted, Birdlife is abundant with over 450 recorded species.
You will Arrive in time for lunch, relax before we embark on a game drive, in search for wildlife unique to the Samburu ecosystem

Day 5. Samburu Game Reserve.
Early rise and embark on a early morning game drive in Samburu National Reserve. The morning is the ideal time for game viewing, as we search for the elusive leopards and lions along the way. Your guide will share information about the Reserve’s wildlife as you seek out more of the unique northern Kenyan wildlife.
Later in the afternoon, we will visit a village that is home to the Samburu tribe. Unlike other commercialized areas of Kenya, the village will allow you to experience the authentic and vibrant culture of the Samburu people. We will continue with a game drive.
We return to camp in time to capture a true African sunset. A perfect way to end an adventurous day.
Fun Fact – The Samburu are semi-nomadic and are one of the most famous and interesting tribes in Kenya. They have a strong connection with their traditions and culture and are closely related to the Maasai. Maa, the native language of the Samburu, is spoken by nearly a million people in Kenya and Tanzania.

Day 6. Lake Nakuru.
Up early for breakfast, and depart Samburu for Lake Nakuru Park (about 6 hours).
Although Lake Nakuru is one of Kenya’s smaller parks, it is buzzing with life, famous for its flamingos, other bird species also inhabit the lake and the surrounding area, including African fish eagle, Goliath heron, hamerkop, and pied kingfisher.
Arrive in time for lunch and then embark on an afternoon game drive, with opportunities to observe black rhinos, Cape buffalo, rare Rothschild giraffes, which are different from the species seen in Ol Pejeta and Samburu.
Back for Dinner and a goods night’s rest.

Day 7. Nashulai Conservancy, Maasai Mara.
Up early for breakfast and depart Lake Nakuru for the Maasai Mara. (About 5 hrs) arrive in time for lunch, you will be staying at Nashulai Conservancy which is the first ever community-owned and directed wildlife conservancy and provides a critical connecting corridor for elephants, lions, and other migrating Mara-Serengeti wildlife.
“Nashulai” means a place of harmony where community and wildlife live in balance and mutual benefit
Afternoon we go for cultural nature walk with a Maasai Moran.

Day 8. Maasai Mara National Reserve.
Full day game drive in the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve, which is a must-see for anyone visiting Kenya. It was established in 1961 to protect wildlife, the Serengeti – Mara Ecosystem is one of the last major wildlife refuges on earth and covers 583 square miles (1510 square kilometers) of outstanding wilderness in southwest Kenya.
The wildebeest Migration happens around late July through to October. This spectacular event is the largest mass movement of land mammals on the planet – with more than a million wildebeest joined by zebra and other species of antelope following the rains.
It is also home to the Big 5 (elephant, leopard, Cape buffalo, lion, and rhino). And, many other species of wildlife.
The reserve is well known for its lion and cheetah population, it is one of the few places where it’s possible to see the big five during a morning’s game drive. For bird lovers, almost 500 species have been recorded.
Back for dinner and relax around the camp fire.

Day 9. Maasai Mara National Reserve.
Full-day game drive in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, we will spend the day exploring other areas of the reserve looking for elephants, giraffes, zebras, at the Mara River looking for crocodiles and hippopotamuses.
For lunch, we will enjoy a picnic lunch set up under a tree in the reserve. and then continue with our epic game drive.
Back to relax and watch the sunset over endless views of the Maasai Mara.

Day 10. Nashulai Conservancy, Maasai Mara.
After breakfast we bid farewell and head to Nairobi to the airport.
