Home To Big Cats And Responsible Tourism

Located within the Greater Mara Region, Naboisho Conservancy borders the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve to the southwest. This 50,000-acre private conservancy is celebrated for its exclusivity, with strictly limited visitor numbers ensuring intimate wildlife encounters and a deeper connection with nature.

Renowned for its high density of wildlife, Naboisho Conservancy is particularly celebrated for its big cats in impressive numbers, including large lion populations, as well as leopards, cheetahs, and a diverse array of other species such as elephants, giraffes, and wildebeests. Unlike many national parks and reserves, Naboisho provides greater flexibility in safari activities, offering visitors the chance to enjoy night safaris, walking safaris, and driving off-road allowing guests to follow and observe wildlife more closely.

Established in 2010, Naboisho Conservancy exemplifies the principles of responsible tourism. The name “Naboisho,” meaning “coming together” in Maa, reflects the collective effort of over 500 Maasai landowners who united to create this extraordinary conservation area. By partnering with ecotourism operators, Naboisho generates sustainable income for the local community while safeguarding its ecosystems and iconic wildlife.

Visitors directly support conservation initiatives and contribute to the preservation of the Maasai people’s rich cultural heritage. Recognized as the Overall Winner of the Responsible Tourism Africa Award in 2016, Naboisho Conservancy has set a global standard for eco-conscious travel, combining luxury, exclusivity, and a meaningful connection with nature.
