2 Tarangire
2 Ngorongoro Crater
2 Serengeti (Central )
Tarangire National Park has an incredible diversity of landscapes and vegetation and is famous for the large number of elephants, baobabs and climbing lions. The topography of the hills covered with baobabs and anthills is divided by the river Tarangire which attracts a large number of animals migrating in the dry season. Nearby there is a natural protected area managed by ten Maasai communities and established in the year 2003 to protect the migratory corridor between Lake Tarangire, Lake Manyara and Manyara ranch. In the wet season this area attracts large flocks of flamingos and other aquatic birds. During these months the concentration of animals along the river Tarangire is nearly as diverse as in the Ngorongoro crater. When the rains arrive in April and May the animals disperse. In June and July gazelles and oryx return followed by elephants, zebras and wildebeest.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area: A UNESCO-protected World Heritage Site and an International Biosphere Reserve, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area covers an area of 8292 sq km consists of the Ngorongoro Crater itself, Empakai Crater, Oldupai Gorge, and Ndutu including the short grass plains of the southeastern Serengeti ecosystem. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a pioneering experiment where people (the Maasai), their livestock, and wildlife co-exist and share the same protected habitat.
Lake Manyara National Park: Nestling at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, is Lake Manyara National Park, one of the oldest and most popular sanctuaries in East Africa. It is home to a myriad of bird life and the famous tree-climbing lions. The park offers an impressive diversity of habitats for animals and birds: from the slopes of the rift escarpment and ground water forest to the acacia woodlands, and the soda lake itself. Common animals include baboons, giraffe, impala, wildebeest, buffalo, zebra, elephant, hippos, with over 400 species of birds including the colorful flamingo’s.
A World Heritage Site and Biosphere Reserve, Serengeti National Park is undoubtedly one of the best known wildlife sanctuaries in the world, famed for its annual wildebeest migration. Aptly referred to as “endless plains” by the Maasai, Serengeti provides sanctuary to the highest concentration of plains animals in the world. Within its area of 14,763 sq km are more than 4 million large mammals living in total wilderness freedom. About 35 species of plains animals can be observed including elephants, buffaloes, topi, wildebeest, gazelles, zebras, lions, leopards, cheetahs and over 400 species of birds can be observed in the Serengeti National Park

At 1,540 meters above sea level, Arusha enjoys a very agreeable climate throughout the year. Positioned at the center of Africa between the Cape and Cairo on the Great North Road, Arusha is the administrative seat of the East African Community made up of Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda. Arusha offers an excellent opportunity for authentic souvenir shopping, including the bold Makonde carvings, and the colorful Tinga Tinga works and batiks.
